How Muvick works

Muvick is a prediction game for upcoming movies and series. Each slate is a set of questions about a title. Lock your picks before it closes, then earn points and XP when the answers are certified.

Slates

A slate is the unit of play — a ticket of prediction questions tied to one movie or series (or a season or episode). While it is open you can enter, update picks for free, and leave before lock. After lock, players who entered can help certify the answers. Resolved slates pay out points and XP.

Early-bird XP

XP from correct picks is multiplied by how early you first submit. The bonus scales up to 1.75× if you lock in 90 days before the slate closes. Updating picks later does not reset that multiplier.

Points

Points are the spendable currency. New players start with 500 pts. A daily cinema question can add 15 pts (more with a streak). Winning a slate pays the points on each correct question; if a question is voided, everyone who entered still gets half its points. A typical ticket costs around 75 pts. Points buy more slates and showcase items. They are not cash and have no real-world value.

Mastery

The same correct pick writes XP to several tracks at once: overall Muvick, that title, its franchise, and its studio. Levels never cap. Tiers (Bronze through Director's Cut) mark long milestones. Overall Muvick mastery uses the same XP but stricter tier gates, so the house crown stays harder than a single franchise.
